WHY We're Here
There is a 12-step saying, "We can do together what we could not do alone."
OUR MISSION: To provide a safe and positive environment for people who are in recovery from various addictions a place to meet, learn, practice, and help each other in accordance with 12-step principles of spiritual development and to offer support for the families of those afflicted with various addictions.
OUR INTENDED PURPOSE: To promote recovery for people with various addictions by providing a place for 12-step groups to meet, and offer a supportive social environment that is alcohol and drug free.
WHAT WE STAND FOR: We believe we all have a daily reprieve from our 'illness' dependent on daily maintenance of our spiritual condition. Therefore, A.D.R. Center, Inc. endorses the whole-life, 12-Step Program that helped the original 100 A.A.s to recover. All spiritual/religious belief systems that incorporate "Love and Service" and all spiritual seekers are welcome at the club.

CLEAN & SOBER SUPPORT & FELLOWSHIP
Recovery-oriented clubs help provide an atmosphere of understanding, fellowship, and camaraderie to people who have been used to isolating themselves. A drug and alcohol-free environment will help build support for people and their families who are working on changing their lives. Social support and peer reinforcement reduces the risk of relapse, and each changed life can positively affect others.
|
 |
|
From the National Institute of Health: "...social support has been linked to better quality of life both among substance users and individuals with a mental disorder and is significant... in well-being among recovering substance users who are dually-diagnosed. ...having a recovery-oriented network predicts subsequent decreased alcohol use. Many former recovering persons report that being in the company of other recovering individuals is helpful."
